Get an 8-point 1/2" drive socket and use just the first extension of the OEM jack handle (with the hook) with an impact and it makes the OEM jack a joy to use. I keep my socket stuck to the jack using a coin battery sized magnet so I don't lose it. I just store the impact in the truck now and...
I'd cut a narrow section of aluminum to act as a backer and mix up some JB Weld to slather on the break and the backer-to-plastic areas. Fixed my broken upper door panel plastic that way and it's stronger than ever. It may not be pretty but it will be fixed. :hillbilly:
Kelly has many options for the grille insert. I wanted maximum airflow and planned to put 2x 7" lights in there as well so I went with the large hexagon design with the Lexus "L". When I received the grille, the L is actually solid in the pattern of hexagons and it came with a separate cut out...
Had a blast wheeling with the guys from Appalachia Cruisers at Windrock where I met some of the guys participating in the 6th Annual 70 Series run. I should obtain a boat license given all the water we dealt with yesterday. :) had a chance to assist with a knuckle stud shear situation (good...
Really? Where are they? I searched a lot and only found notes about a slit in the 2 halves of the pinch weld. The rear are proper tubes out to the ground but the front apparently terminate in the inner wall in the kick panel area.

Finally gave the 80 some love and replaced the front Icon Stage 1 shocks. Driver has been leaking for a while. I recalled it being a nightmare but I'm sure I remembered it wrong and was being silly....after I put the grinder down, I think maybe I did remember it correctly. Whoever the ass hat...
Similar to last week but this time I opened the hatch, turned the fridge off then closed the hatch and locked it again. Whew, what fun I've had during COVID-19. I should post pics. At least my tires are lasting longer this year.
NP, might want to hit that booster while you're in there. When mine went out on a crowded highway, it was in my top 5 most exciting times. Driving back from Vegas without it was...interesting...
I firmly believe the secret is VERY soft pedal presses just like you're braking. No severe pumping or anything like that. Triggering the ABS is tricky but if you're not part-time, should be easy to just drop 2x wheels onto dirt and smash the brakes. There's a thread about shorting out the...
