    Holidays Wheelin?

Sounds all good to me. My doubts about FJ were because of the State Land permit situation (i.e. mine being somewhere in the ether...), but if that doesn't apply it's fine by me. Sunday is better for FJ. I'll know about my truck by tonite - I'll give you a call. Yes, we will have phone and...

    Holidays Wheelin?

How many more was I supposed to use?:D What may have created some confusion is that I'm NOT talking about a full-body Toyota PU. My ride's a full-size Blazer, and there are many places where it doesn't go because it doesn't fit. And I'm not gonna make it fit, either ;). I wasn't...

    Holidays Wheelin?

Copied from the AZ G&F website re eagle closures: "... Verde River below Bartlett Dam is closed to foot and vehicle entry from Dec. 1 to June 30. Boating through is allowed. Contact Tonto National Forest, Cave Creek Ranger District, (480) 595-3300..." I didn't see a map, though...

    Holidays Wheelin?

There's no need to apologize, and I'm just a guest here anyways.

    Holidays Wheelin?

Hold your horses, I'm not sure where you read all that in my post! First off, the "... not welcome due to my wheeling vehicle of choice..." is nonsense. Heck, they even let me run with'em, and the only Toyota part on my truck is an FJ40 bezel that's velcroed to my bumper :grinpimp...

    Holidays Wheelin?

Sounds good to me. Is my fullsize going to fit?

    Holidays Wheelin?

Just to clarify: I'm a (founding) member of the SheetMetal Gang, over at the K5 site :grinpimp:. Our mission is to 'wheel and keep the truck looking like the factory intended it - well, at least to some degree :D. Seeing that you're riding a boatsided buggy with lexan side panels on 39 IROKs...

    Holidays Wheelin?

We've done Martinez last year, with MaddBaggins, goodtimes, and Spike. Turned into our introduction to CSC :D; it was a great trip, and I got a new tail light out of it! I'm not totally gung-ho this time because a) I'd like to drive a trail I haven't been on, and b) I'm not sure the rock garden...

    Holidays Wheelin?

I think Kevin referred to the route from Beeline to Bartlett Lake that in the DeLorme map is labeled FR393. Hackberry was another option altogether. I'm hoping there'll be multiple days of wheeling next week... For the FR98/Log Corral trail: I never saw an FR marker up the wash, just a sign...

    Holidays Wheelin?

I was under the impression that FJ is State Land, i.e. permit required? My buddies from the K5 side are going on Martinez on Saturday, the fact that my permit didn't arrive here (and the little thing about maybe not getting my K5 out of the storage place in time :D) made me decide against going.

    Holidays Wheelin?

1096 is probably the correct number, my maps are in FH; we drove it but this was before I acquired the GPS. IIRC we saw a marker for 1852 at a fence with a closed gate, but we had nothing on our maps. X-mas 2 years ago we drove a piece of Sycamore to the crossing, where the trail would lead...

    Holidays Wheelin?

Here goes, in no particular order: I'd like to go on the part of FR160 that I haven't seen, and that's the piece from the intersection with 1855 (or so, at the big Ocotillo) behind Herder Mountain to the intersection with FR1196. So we could go in the same way as last time (Sugarloaf/Sycamore...

    Holidays Wheelin?

And for those members worried about being the ugliest rig on the trail: don't despair, you're in the clear, since I'm going to bring the K5.... maybe I'll even put the '40 bezel on for the Holidays...
