   What year did this dash start? With brake light and alternator light ?

   12v on one side of the bulb from the key being switched on and the other side is to ground. When the alternator starts spinning the regulator applies 12v to the other side of the bulb Where the ground is and the light goes out.

   What year did this dash start? With brake light and alternator light ?

   It is 100% 73’ and I believe 72’ as well. I just saw the same dash in a truck for sale that is listed as a 72’
