IAC at the time of the lean spike is 100%. It goes 100% at approximately 6 seconds into a cold start and remains there thru the duration of the log, which is 18 seconds.
I will say that overlaying after start enrichment over the AFR that after the enrichment lowers down to approx 100% after...
exactly what mine does. I'm assuming a new O2 sensor won't fix it and I'm not one to shoot the parts cannon at it. Sometimes it'll cold start perfectly fine so it's leading me to believe its a sniper issue and not a vehicle issue. Obviously being desmogged takes a lot of possibilites out of...
Still having issues with cold start lean spikes. Sometimes it’s fine, most times it’ll lean spike and sputter and recover. I’ve meticulously smoked the intake for vacuum leaks and made 2 exhaust side pre-O2 sensor leak repairs with no real change. A screen shot from a datalog last night shows...
It seems to have fixed my weird lean spike issues i was having at idle intermittently. I simply capped the port in the sniper and drove it and I didn’t have a single issue with it lean spiking or dying at idle. The engine was already warm so I can’t yet speak for cold operation which is when I...
Question for those with some miles on theirs. Mine doesn’t want to cold start to save it’s life. It’ll start and die probably 2 or 3 times before it’ll start, idle really low, and slowly rise to around 1000rpm. Is that something that will self learn and get better the more I drive? I haven’t put...
Good to know, thanks. So should I just crank on them and hope I don’t shear one off and use some thread locker? I don’t mind getting new ones but how will I know if the new ones will be correct or not?
Edit: and thanks for all the advice, I know you’ve done multiple conversions so your knowledge...
They have aviation sealant all over them. What do you mean by standards on threads?
I can try some RTV on them if you think it will help, but I’m not sure if two(ish) turns on the fitting is going to seal 50 something psi.
And not to sound too bougie, but I’m doing this on my back on the...
So here’s my dilemma fellas. Attempted to start the truck and I have a pretty spectacular fuel leak from the feed line fitting. When attaching them, I didn’t like how they felt when threading in, but I gave it the old college try. Comparing my visible threads to Dustin’s in post #17, something...
How long did you folks let your tank “air out” before you drilled a hole? I’m afraid of blowing myself up. It’s been sitting outside with the level Sensor out all day. Good enough? Also, do you just cap the feed and return ports on the factory low pressure pickup and move on?
I’m also sold on it after your post. My 60 runs great 95% of the time, but the occasional hiccup and need for emissions testing here are reason enough for me. It’ll also be nice to clean up the vacuum lines and travel to elevation without much worry.
