AuPig’s rolling chassis has been outside under a tarp for a year now while I fell down the 60 series rabbit hole. Hooked up a battery, cycled the glow plugs once, and it started right up! Felt good to hear that Mercedes diesel rumbling. Got to get back on reassembly.
You say you don’t remember being there. We talked land cruisers( mainly 40’s ) between Marshal Tucker and Waylon Jennings. You must be getting old, maybe time for the Ginko or Prevegen?😂
Spent some time in the shop doing a little organizing. Hoping to pull AuPig‘s body inside soon to move forward On the project. Doors open, tunes turned up. Lynard Skinner was on doing Freebird. Of course I had to crank it up. Took me back to the Ozark Music Festival in 1974 at Mo. State...
Got some fender bling for AuPig . New Toyota fender badges. Never had any, so was excited to get them. Will still be awhile before I can use them, but nice on the shelf.
The rack was the main attraction when I bought it. Thinking it might become an electric around town pig in the future. A company on eBay sells a conversion kit for around $6,000. Plus batteries. Got to finish one before starting another.
Trying to organize the shop space some. Need to get my son’s 40 inside for some work. Took the fenders I got with AuPig out and placed them on the 69 I drug home . Looks more pig like now. May need to put some doors on it too.
Went into garage for more than 5 minutes today. Wife’s daughter visiting, so put my new banner on the door. Also made sure pigs were still there. Right before the stroke I scored a set of floor pans and front body mounts from bobm. Also got a set of NOS fiberglass fenders from SOR. Someday they...
Pretty fortunate that way. We all burn wood, but they wanted to make sure Dad was taken care of. They’re the best! Guess I know where to come get wood in the future , nice pile of heat.
Coyote sat in the garage while my sons and I cut and split wood. Brutally cold for Missouri. My oldest son brought his 82 60 series, and I had the 100 series. Good afternoon even in 10* weather.
The ones I bought are only about 6” long. Might have to pickup a set of the 9” ones, since my sons and I have several land cruisers we will be maintaining over the years.
