It's funny, so many of us have picked up diesel Cruisers from Steve at LCD. He's going to be like a small town doctor who has delivered every child in town for decades.
The 70 looks great, Beno. A new project is sometimes the only way to save us from obsessing over an old project.
He should have enough to assemble an entire second truck. Then comes the tricky question of which one is the original?

If your crane can handle the weight, assemble first then install, even if you are working alone. It's a pain to stab the tranny from below and more hazardous to fingers. Better to be above heavy things than underneath them.
This is an incredible build, Beno. It looks way to pretty to actually start up and get dirty. Bummer about those cracks in the manifold. At least you found them before assembly.
