    I used this kit from ebay and welded a short piece of tubbing and bought a piece of 3/4" nylon for amazon. done. you can use a belt sander to change or reshape the nylon.

    I used a CNC Plasma cutter. I tool the measurements off the original the drew it in CAD. I also cut the blanks to be formed so they could be bolted to the templates for registration.

    I used a cheap Harbor freight air hammer and made a Nylon tip for the driver. It worked great,

    Hi Guys, I am working on my second FJ40 rebuild and decided to make most of my rear tub. I thought some of you might be interested. I used 18 gauge sheet metal and CAD designed the templates for hammer forming my parts. I have attached a few photos. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks Bic
