What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Bull****. Only one country has landed on the moon. The other one doesn't exist any more. That is what I call "a clue". Read. Comprehend. Think.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Occasionally, the o-ring from the old filter will stick to the engine block, causing this kind of oil spill. :( Ha. My 1938 Dodge is named "Ava".

Sorry to hear that. The failure appeared to be very uniform. would be interested to see if the broken lugs were shiny or dull where they sheared. I would guess that there strength was destroyed long ago and only now bit the dust on you.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Well, you'd have to prove that. Costa Rica + Fresh paint + low mileage claim + upside down bezel = pile of s***, nearly 100% of the time. It's "possible" it's the exception that proves the rule, but I'd have to see it to believe it.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

So, my wife and I took our 80 to the Main River, where we finally dipped our toes in after a year of walking across Bavaria, from the Danube to the Main River. Three days, 12 mountains and 50 km of walking along trails. I know 50 km doesn't sound like a bunch, but 12 mountains in three days...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I guarantee you it's a pile of s***, held together with bondo and fresh cheap paint. And 17,000 miles my ass.

I was surprised, too, by my wife's visceral reaction to the "pig". She thinks it's the cutest thing she'd ever seen.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

My wife and I drove all over Franconian Switzerland, where I picked up some kind of vibrational metallic noise at low speeds while turning. Will pry put it on a lift next week and check it out. While we were there, we found a BJ40 Cool looking rig with the usual issues. It rained buckets...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Today I discover what else my General Grabber AT2s like to pick up. 7.62 links from our latest training rotation. Found about a gazillion of these in my treads; am thinking about billing the government for my clean up efforts.

So, I received this lovely care package from @richardlillard1 today. Took about 15 minutes and installed it in the Post Office parking lot.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

After our trip to Poland, my wife remarked at how awkward using the rear compartment was. So, after a bit of thinking, I came up with an extremely minimalist method for improving storage back there. I dug through the post recycling center and found a decent 4' x 4' sheet of 1/2 inch...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Went to Franconian Switzerland (Frankisch Schweiz) for a hike. Parking is quite a bear, there, and this is off season for tourists. Ended up next to some farmer's barn. This area was settled by man in the middle stone ages; cool little mountain coves shot through with caves. Even a...
