New owner of 74 FJ40
I appreciate the info from both of you. I will look through the threads some more and keep reading these boards. I don't plan on making any changes for a while, until I know exactly what I want to do, what works, etc. So I'm not in a huge rush. Thanks again!- Words: 53

It runs, but not great. And it stops pulling over 60mph. Here in TX, if you are going 60mph or lower on the highway, you will get run over. Haha. I need to be able to drive it from Dallas up to the lake and camping trips. So 65+mph is a must. I'm not dead set on swapping the motor. Just looking...- Words: 160

I am picking up my '74 FJ40 in the next two weeks and I have a lot to learn about them. I am looking to make it fun for trails, but also something I can take on the highway up to the lake and on camping trips.
