I knew the old TRE's were worn out, but damn, what a difference all the new stuff made. Couple of runs down the interstate, no more wander and darting around, rides like its supposed to. New brakes, steering, suspension, its a whole new rig!
Me and the boy did steering, full kit from trail gear. Huge improvement as the old ends were shot and the tie rod had a small bend in it. Almost all the little things done, setting up a long weekend axle rebuilds/gears/lockers...
Sounds good. Lemme know, Ill be cutting this weekend and could add it in. If you draw something to size, like trace it, then scan and send, I can recreate it, then send you a copy to test with. Or, if its simple enough, draw it, give it dimensions and I can cut it.
I gotta disagree.this is one of these things argued to death. With Correct installation, they cause no more stress than an offset wheel. It's no different than aluminium wheels, they have to be checked until the torque is set and the wheels become seated.
My pass side was loose when I did the brake job, but the lock washer tabs werent bent over from the last guy who owned it. After brake job, Ill check it in a week or so and see if its loose again.
Im thinking this breather when I go through the axles...
