How to test Crankshaft sensor- 2l-Te

GTS, I have been focused on the glow - Crushers and I tested all the plugs and timing for those, helped a little but its not the issue. I will start working through the fuel line hoses and clamps and give the primer a few pumps this morning to see if that makes a difference. Thx.

How to test Crankshaft sensor- 2l-Te

Joey, Yep - replaced fuel filter and the float sensor unit below it. I have done most of the easy stuff, and some not so easy. Replace coolant and air temp sensors, replaced cold start capacitors on the ECU, new glow plugs (twice), rebuilt injectors. So the crankshaft sensor is next. Thx

How to test Crankshaft sensor- 2l-Te

I have a very nice lj78 that runs great except for the first 10-15 seconds that you start it after sitting for more than 4 hours. For those 10-15 seconds it coughs and farts grey/black smoke, then levels out, runs and starts awesome all day long after that. Anyways, working my way through...

My LJ78 got a brand new 3" exhaust today

Looks fantastic. ToyWorks did a 2.5" SS straight pipe and didn't go out around the frame, instead straight down and out. Its not as clean as yours and its loud, but sounds great and runs much better. Can you post a video with it running?

    LJ78 ECU needed

Hello all, I have a 1992 LJ78 which has always ran fantastic. Now I have developed a rough and smoky cold start that last about 20-30 seconds and it looks like it may be my ECU. Does anyone have a functioning Toyota 89661-60151 ECU for sale? Need a secondary before I attempt to repair original...

Yes - triple gauge made for diesels. You can get different set ups. I went with EGT analog and boost/temp digital.

US dollar bad right now - but the shipping is much much better, especially if you can pick up the stuff just over the border.

Dobinson lift in my Lj78 1990 prado

I just installed the Dob's 45mm springs. Stayed with the shocks I had and didn't change anything else. Drive's great. Also installed the Dob steering stabilizer. I would just go with the matching dob shocks and keep it complete.

    LJ78 oil cooler

Actually I'm going to do an engine oil cooler first. More direct contact with the parts I'm lookin to keep cool. Tranny cooler after most likely to help with the towing. Id be interested in the part number if its easy to find thanks.
