No doubt there'll be a 200 in my future...I had a couple of 4 Runners, and they're fine....until you drive a cruiser. Kreiten's looks awesome...I'll roll in the tundra for a while, for a pickup its nice. Timing for a 200 is just not right for me...lots of outflow at the moment...wife is...
Thats why I decided to trade my 99 last week. I loved the thing, but It had 244K, and the dealer offered $6000 trade. It was worth more, but I had no response on C/L or the classifieds (because of the high miles I suspect), and a deal came up on another vehicle.. My cruiser ran great, but the...
It was a bit more than that, been quite a while back, but as I recall. I had to get the pinouts of the existing analog amp, and pinouts of all the connectors on the head unit, Then find and order the correct connectors for the back of the head unit, then cut one or two of the existing connectors...
I'd have to agree, the interior on the Tundra LTD or PLT is not Landcruiser quality, but its all about price points. The tundra just has to compete with other pickups, not uber luxury SUVS north of 70 grand. I've already griped a bit to my wife about the leather seats, fake wood and the choppy...
Yea, that was the deal,...I have a few long road trips planned with my family, pulling either a boat or a car trailer with my roadster on it (bonneville), and the likelihood of problems on the road was increasing. A while back, the very next day after a trip to Gatlinburg my ABS pump failed...
All good things have to come to an end, or so I'm told, and for the first time in 10 years I'm cruiserless...Ended up trading my 100 saturday on a Tundra Crewmax 4x4 LTD, made a decent deal and handed in my keys with more than a little regret. The 99 was the best vehicle i've ever owned..New...
I've got mine in the classifieds @8500....dealer is offering me 6K on it toward a Tundra 4wd Crewmax LTD...he started out at 2 grand...lol can't blame him for trying I guess.... Just did the T belt,wp,Starter, and T hoses. Rad and Alt not too long ago....I still wonder if I can part with it...
Got to say, I've had these installed for 6 months now, and they look as good now as they did when I installed them. Actually better, because the small wrinkles on the sides are gone now. I've decided to sell my cruiser too, (its in the classifieds) so it worked out well for me...except I'll...
$8000 now...Time to let it go...1999 100 series--MS gulf coast
the good: Its a 99, has 243K and runs great, no service lights or codes. Rear locker, Rear Air, Brushguard, 2005 toyota Nav, xm, and camera...244K...Timing belt water pump and starter just replaced, along with Alt,Radiator, Recent...
While on the subject of 99s and prices, ...indulge me for a sec, what is a fair price for a 99?. Still thinking about putting mine up for sale locally and I see them priced from the ridiculously high ($15K+) to the pretty cheap.. Has Locker, Rear air, heated seats (sometimes) 243K, new...
Yep...I planned to sell/trade mine months ago, but I just can't choke down the 200's price tag....and the 4WD tundra crewmax just doesn't get me exited enough to pull the trigger. Besides, mine only has 243,000 miles on it.
Yea I guess after 200k miles I have become pretty fond of my LC. In the past I changed vehicles after 60-80k miles, never kept anything as long as this one. And towing is an issue, but not something I do on a daily basis...80 percent of the time I'm people hauling, hauling a drumset in the...
Thanks for the replys...Not going to be an easy choice. My initial plan was not to exceed 50 grand or so...which would yield a 2-3 year old cruiser, or a new loaded Tundra Crewmax 4x4 with a warranty. Still, a lot of things I would miss about the cruiser, like AWD.. But I just can't justify a...
Yea, may keep the 99 even if I get a 200, Its been reliable for sure. I tow a 24' center console boat on an aluminum trailer, as well as a car trailer with my hotrods on occasioin. It still pretty much feels the same at 240k as it did at 40k. I'm sure a dealer would lowball me on a trade...
