I used a shop in Des Moines and those more knowledgeable than me have said what a nice job they did. If you'd like more info please shoot me a message.
Haven't done much recently other than drive it!
I did get tired of the outside mirrors needing constant adjustment (which i simply stopped doing) so went ahead and placed two seperate orders for the euro spec mirrors. More expensive than what City Racer used to sell them for but not terribly...
How I'd like to help! I got mine installed but don't have the measurements anymore. How dumb of me to not update the thread when i made them.
That said, if i figured it out and made the brackets it can't be that bad!
@Whiskerz thanks! I've got alot of help from many members and that certainly helped me through the process.
I got the handle moved and it's out of my knee's way, huzzah!
Thanks again all!
All, when I roll down my drivers door window all the way the window crank handle lands right where i happen to rest my knee.
If i were to remove the handle could i change its orientation so that, when fully opened, the handle lands at a different position?
Thanks!
Nice products. My 77 came with a tool bag but it's in rough shape. Can someone explain the major differences between the medium and large size rolls (other than size)? Why would one choose the med vs large? What roll would be needed to for the standard oem tools?
Hope this is of value to...
This is random but...wanted to buy one dash knob set screw. Was removing my knobs and lost one pf the set screws. Not sure of size so thought id just post a wtb as here.
For a 77 40.
Thanks!
Got the carb off. Had to grind a wrench in half but it worked, thanks!
@overton very interesting. I hadn't considered the value question and perhaps i need tp consider it a bit more. I don't see the vehicle leaving my family's possession ever but you never know.
I'm mostly concerned about...
Hello everyone,
Gonna desmog the vehicle over the winter (or rather @Poser will) but need to get the carb off and sent to jim c.
I'm struggling to remove the 4 nuts that mount the carb. Any tricks to getting a tool in there to loosen them up?
Thanks!
