I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
A couple things to keep in mind tomorrow:
Meet time is 9am.
This is a BYO lunch run so bring some Turkey if you aren’t too sick of it yet!
Thanks, see you tomorrow!
Hello everyone,
My sincerest apologies for what is a very last minute email. Although, I guess in the spirit of Kevin Patterson, this is still more than enough notice!
From the first time I talked with Kevin, he mentioned wheeling on a trail called 42 and its surrounding area. For those not...
Hello everyone!
My apologies for such a last minute email, it’s been a busy fall but we have a game plan settled for this year’s run. In true Tools R Us fashion, we’re going wheeling this Saturday!
This will be our fourth year doing this; a little exploration in the desert and some BS’ing to...

Got close to that by running a clutch with 60k in it for a long while. Roared like a garbage truck, but also sucked horsepower from the motor. Ran cool, though!
Not on here as much lately, so I’ll try to be somewhat thorough.
1. The Aisin clutch pictured above is a blue hub. That’s why the hub is blue. Toyota changed the color of the hub for various models with Aisin clutches and somewhere along the line they made the 1fz clutch blue instead of black...

Hello everyone!
It’s that time of year again and while we’re all asking where the time went, I figured it best to get you some information on this year’s Kevin Patterson memorial run.

His front axle housing is still sitting next to the air compressor here. 😂
A portapower might push that back out some. You’re welcome to stop by and see…
I built mine a bit differently than @ChaseTruck, used a T fitting with the chuck mounted directly to it. I use it for both air down and air up, and I keep it on an electrical cord reel for storage.
The last time I was there was 9/26/20, that spot was fairly filled in, still took attention, but pretty straightforward with good line choice.
The other trucks that day opted to go high, as you did. Some higher than others:
Stock JL:
I find this to be the perfect “slider line”; drive onto...
So which one of you has a kid that works at a Chipotle? It was a white 93 for a while, the other day it was a green one but I didn’t get close enough to guess the year.
I don’t know that I buy that. My 80’s temps didn’t change after removing the smog components and one of the 80s we’ve had in the shop has no EGR or cat and still runs the same temperatures it did before they were deleted.
Totally depends on the truck, its setup, and how heavily modified.
I would define mine as heavily modified, mostly as experimentation to see how I could get the system to perform. With a stock thermostat I usually saw 184-193° most of the time and it was more often at 186° than anything else...
