This is probably too late but I‘ve had a couple of windshields replaced at LCNW. I’m pretty sure they have an outside vendor come in and do it but I haven’t had any issues.
Maybe they could help you out in this situation?
I replaced all my vacuum tubing with silicon a while ago and they’ve held up just fine. I can check my records to see where I got it from if you’re interested?
No I don’t. Give them a call I’m sure they’d tell you. In 2015 it cost me $348 to have them do it. Glass was non OEM (that glass was $700+ at the time). They had it finished in about 2 hours.
I’ve had Land Cruiser NW replace two windshields for me. They contract it out but it’s done in their shop. Great work and they keep the original chrome strip (optional).
I second what @Robert Franzke says. I recently changed from 31” to 33” and Robert’s experience echos mine. I have 285/70 17r KO2 wit 17” TRD wheels. I did have to adjust my drivers side steering stop because the tire rubbed on the leafs a tad. I have the same OME med/med setup.
I finally put these wheels and tires on my rig. I‘ve had the wheels (TRD 17x7 flat black) sitting in my garage for over 6 months. The tires are 285/70 R17 KO2s effectively 33”. The aspect ratio looks nearly identical to the really old 31x10.5 BFG ATs I had on it.
Unfortunately I also recently...
Funny you should mention that. I had to quickly head out to take that photo ahead of another rain shower. The tree shadow on the door bugs me though. Oh well.
The previous owner (my sister) named my '89 FJ62 Dan. I fine with that except, my father in law's name is Dan so we casually renamed it Elsey. Do you see what we did there?
@NearJetties - I've been admiring those TRD wheels for a long time and always wondering how/if they would fit. I think I'm going to have to pull the trigger on a set of my own. Did you order them through a dealership?
Good to see old folks and meet new folks today. Great weather, beer, and rigs! Now we need to organize a trail run.
p.s. @FJ6T did you diagnose the no start issue on the Jeep?
