Well - I'm gonna start my rebuild ! ! !
. . . (it's been years. And then more than that years).
Story goes, I've been working overly diligently at UPS as of late (for the last slew of months) to help make ends meet (and to keep my head facing forward). And have had ZERO time for anything else...
As mentioned above, I would ditch the idea of the light beige as it would definitely be a continuous headache issue to keep anyway clean. It would NEVER remain clean. Plus, your shade of beige literally clashes with your shade of charcoal gray. The light beige & charcoal gray would take away...
I realize has little or nothing to do with Yotas, let alone 40's, but I snapped these a few years ago. I've tons & tons of pics like this (and of really attractive women too). Lots of magazine covers. ... All I need now is a pretty pic of my 40 put back together !!! ... Actually, that's ALL I...
Soooo. ... To earn some needed side money that I will use in part to directly help jump-start the rebuild of my 1979 FJ40 - I'm helping UPS to deliver packages within a prestigious residential country club via my own car ... How Coolio Is That !! ... ;)

Hello :
Am Needing HELP with Home Electricity :
How easy or how complicated will it be to wire for & install a 240V outlet (adjacent to our home's garage fusebox - intended for that of a 240V, 15A air compressor) ??
Thanks !!

Hey @wngrog : thanks for chiming-in.
That I learn for myself, I'm interested in what you say above. Not to begin any type debate, which I ask not to parkake, it's been my long surmise that BFG All-Terrain tires in the 33x10.5x15 size can not fit or be physically or safely mounted upon the 5.5"...
Regarding the 33x10.5 tires on the stock steelies : I've gathered the common, BFG AT's do not or can not work, which is likely the case for most of the other tires, from the other companies, that same size. To combat this, some here have had the 5.5" stock steelies widened, via having them cut...
Yours is one month older than mine, and same color mine originally was. With your 2.5" HFS lift, my take would be to put a set of five 33x10.5 BFG AT's on her - and be done with it.

My baby has been getting a little bit better than 8 minutes flat. After removing the carbon fiber bush guard bumper, which wasn't OEM, I was able to shave off another full minute. The aftermarket Recaro racing seats nicely help with the increased G-force produced from that less weight.
Will be a fun, good-read story you & Dumpie will surely unfold to us. Be sure to add-in some good humor though. Will make your experience, and our read - more colorful.
Cheers 2 U & Dumpie !
I just now read your story on pg 5 of your initial thread. Thx.
I (& we here) know for sure you, yourself, feel quite bad - but I can only imagine the owner of the Dodge, who was transporting for you - must feel Super Badly (amongst your property & that of another, his entire business operation...
Just out of curiosity : do you know about the paint on your rig ? Do you know or have written somewhere handy exactly what color & color formula it is ?
I like it very much. Is seemingly the same as mine once was (a specific hue of green-blue metallic) - And I'd like to know what mine once was...
I don't intend to be critical of your all original vehicle, but I instantly notice the jump seats, the overall gray color of the interior, and the roll bar assembly - are from a 1979 to '84 vehicle. And perhaps the black pads on the front dash too ?
Also missing, besides the OEM carburetor, is...
