Man, I’ve got a first edition non marked up cruiser with my name on it but can’t understand why Toyota thinks someone would pay $76k for it when the gx is nicer , more powerful and bigger rear diff, and the 4Runner has everything and better suspension than the landcruiser for likely cheaper…...
i think that's an amazing deal considering the work done.. and you want a SOA truck. valley hybrid and cruiser outfitters seem to have done a lot of the work which is a good thing.... seems like the main issue are the brakes , which can be fixed... not a big fan of the gauges but thats a easy...
My truck is over at bells and vaughn in pasadena right now. Ask for Raffi and ask to see Kevin's landcruiser. Go check the work they are doing on my 60 and see if you like it. I've been impressed so far and price is reasonable from my shopping around.
that sounds good, but before you do all that i'd see if you can fish it into place with the tank in place by removing the fuel sending unit access panel from inside the truck. it's in the center floor of the rear storage area. There's maybe 1/2 - 1 inch of clearance b/w the tank and the cruiser...
From my understanding, don't mess with the ecu, they check for any changes, no deleting vats stuff or evap, and have all the donor computers in place , ecu,bcm . I'm not 100% sure but you could probably remove the bcm and vats after you pass the reff as I don't think regular smog checks...
the shop that did my swap wired in the body control module from the donor, air cleaner i believe isn't an issue cause it has the EO carb # on it for the donor vehicle. believe mine was taking to the ref near san jacinto
