OK,reading that i'm quite sure i must have put that "z shaped"clip on the wrong way.i will take it off and check.i checked the old diaphram it has a rub mark on its under belly,suggesting the clip was rubbing on it.i think i may have installed this upside down.
What is the correct way?
I have refitted the housing 3 times.....no difference.i'm sure it can't be much.

Hello,i have just replace the diaphram in the injector pump,in my b engine(bj40).Now it will not run.
The old diaphgram was shot.The new part went in well.
i can only get the engine to run if i over fuel it on the injector pump lever.if not it struggles to idle and their is very little throttle...

Just a quick update.i went to my local Toyota dealership today and ordered my parts.A new shoe for the shift linkage and a new dust boot.$24.00 Aussie dollars from Japan,take about 2 weeks to arrive.Pretty happy with that.
