I just put it on the road yesterday lol, it needs some work (whole front clip plus manifolds) im probably going to do a complete exhaust including stainless cats and clean up the body alittle bit maybe paint or plasti dip it.
I was just mainly curious if anyone had used a propane oxy setup. One of the other pluses is propane doesnt make the black poofy things when lighting it.
80s series land cruiser? no, i was planning on building a utility body work/welding truck tacoma but i just got a deal on a tundra so now the tacoma is for sale.
Either way using both propane or acetylene your going to use more oxygen than fuel. especially when cutting, but with acetylene when it is transported it is supposed to have time to settle due to how the tank is built. there is a core in it that somehow makes acetylene. All I was saying with...
as of right now im looking to sell whole, i need some things for my sled (03 rev 800) looking for skis willing to trade for them maybe accessories too, but after either this week or next i should have time to start parting it out.
i have a 86 fj60 for sale 210k body rough compared to every thing on here (but great compared to everything here in upstate NY lol) rear wheel well rust and some other body rust, frame solid, had it running in November, no time for it so its for sale or let me know what parts youd be interested...
1986 fj60 project for sale or trade
hey guys if im in the wrong place i apologize but i am looking to sell or trade the 86 fj60 project i picked up awhile back. the frame is solid and the body is fair, has some rear wheel well rust but not too much else. i got it running but it needs alot...
the advantage for me at least is i would be able to transport a propane oxy torch with out the issues of having to keep the acetylene tank upright, also propane can be filled anywhere and i get it dirt cheap cuz we have a big tank for the house.
i have not done a compression test on the motor yet, i am looking to desmog the truck if possible but i am also looking into the possiblity that this project is too much for me right now. and looking into my options as far as either selling to trading it.
does anyone have a propane/oxygen cutting torch setup? my dad has an oxy accetalyne setup that is great for brazing but can get pricy if we start cutting alot (plus im looking into a truck mounted torch setup for mainly heating and cutting) does anyone have experience with these and have any...
ok will do! i will have to get some seafoam when i get some more gas to fill the tank. i think half of why its not running good it because all the smog and vacuum lines are off because i have the whole air cleaner housing is off. i was planning on changing the fuel filter anyways but never...
sounds logical, there is lots i need to do to this truck so i am just feeling it out as i go and not trying to sink too much money into it during the process. the oil cooler is leaking coolant, there is a power steering leak so i am just playing it by ear, i dont want to get rid of it but im...
my 95 taco does this. i put a flat bed on it and wired up new LED trailer lights using the stock harness and now it flashes fast, i think it is something to do with the rear taillights not being stock and not having the right load. my 97 taco did the same thing always but it never had stock...
i have never used seafoam but it sounds like a good idea to use it. my dad used it on his honda goldwing, ill have to ask him how it works. i do need to put more gas in it (im going to run some 91 no ethanol) and change the oil and filter for sure. ill look into the seafoam.
i just ordered a new air cleaner from NAPA and i am going to clean up the housing this weekend all nice nice so i dont get anything in it. I want to get all that hooked back up and see if it runs any better first, i am looking into desmoging it so i dont want to rebuild the carb to stock specs...
unfortunately all the pictures me and my cousin took came out blurry (crappy camera) and now its back outside under a foot of snow, hopefully ill have it back in the garage this weekend or next week and ill be able to post pics. the body is pretty rough (its starting to go) but the frame is...
i have yet to tear apart the carb yet but i wanted to have everything i needed before i started that. that was the only reason i was curious about it. the truck right now (ive had it running for maybe 2 days) was idling at about 1200 rpm without the air cleaner assembly on. I do not have an air...
