1998 Land Cruiser 324K / came out one morning and started the vehicle. Put it in reverse and noticed the yellow center diff light on. Thought odd so I put it in neutral and shifted to 4L. Took it back out of 4L and shifted to 4H. Yellow light remained and its remained there for the past week. I...
6 speed with A-trac and rear locker. Everything works great. Solid clutch. NO RUST. Has a few minor bumps and bruises (trail rash that can be buffed out) but nothing major. Solid engine and transmission. AWD and geared lower than the autos. 3 inch Rancho lift and wheel spacers. 285/70/17 tires...
2000 Land Cruiser with 360K. Warning siren started today but brakes seem fine and no warning lights.
What's the latest on where to get a new motor or have one refurbished? And don't hit me with search BS.
Thanks
Finding it very difficult to get my hands on the winch plate made for this bumper. What winch plate is everyone using? Most of the universal ones I've seen are too big.
I screwed the cap on and don’t intend taking it off. Also has brass heater hose replacements. I’m going to swap those out for Toyota OEM plastic.
2000 and it’s white. Looks sharp. Paint needs waxing and buffing. Came with a TJM front bumper. Had Pioneer head unit installed today.
Ha that’s funny. The guy I bought it from was a big Toyota guy, had a nice 70 series in the garage! But yes, had two Tacoma’s in the driveway too. He showed this “mod” to me and as a LC person I was immediately confused 🧐
I’ve owned plenty of Land Cruisers and have been an enthusiast since...
I like the SoFlo bumper for what it is. The newer version has a 2 inch hitch and is thicker overall metal wise. It's also curved at an angle now on the flat parts on the side; it looks better. I wanted something to hold my spare and some jerry cans with some rear crash protection. It serves it's...
Install was a success. I'm up to 21 in the front now which is right where I want to be. Everything is still settling but at least I can adjust them now on my own if need be. Ordering a TJM front bumper this week to go with the SoFlo I ordered and installed last weekend.
Going to try this again! Thanks to cjmoon I have a set of '98 torsion bars to install on my '04 LX tomorrow. Still going to use '04 LC OEM shocks as I've had good luck running them in the past; and I've already installed OEM shocks and 2863 coils in the rear.
We'll see how this turns out.
