If you're going all in frame resto. My two cents is scrap that 62 frame and swap in the FJ80 chasis. I wouldn't hesitate if I had my frame down to bones. Just an observation/suggestion.

It’s been about a year since my build. Must say haven’t been too active on mud. I lurk here and there though. Motor is running good! No major updates. Filled up my power steering fluid today. You get the jist of the update news.

Quick update : Everything is running smooth on the fresh motor with one exception - I believe I have a rear main seal leak. It’s not a major leak - but a leak. Food for thought - if ya buy a junkyard motor/transmission package already together - It may be worth throwing a new rear main seal...
Had to go Powder her nose. 6 hour accumulation. Cooler if she was wheeling, but lemme tell you a story that involves a 10 car driveway, a shovel and feet of snow - Almost a full time job. :meh:

My truck had 3 wires coming out of the FJ alternator Plug. I had both the yellow, Black w/ yellow stripe and a white one (which looks like you dont have)
Then had a red, a black and a large white coming off battery + terminal. The large white went to alt lug on the FJ alternator.
In the end...
Should have 3 hard lines coming out of PS Pump. The top one is the hydro-boost. I just capped it off. In addition you should have a hydro-boost plastic nipple on back of motor. That nipple can be replaced with a regular nipple off LS motors that never had hydroboost. Then run vacuum hose to...

Curious what adapter are you using to mate the trans to the transfer case? I used an Advanced Adapter. Doesn't look like mine at all. Maybe its different for 4l80e vs 4l60e?

Haha. Typical Reno/Tahoe region. If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes. Upper elevations have a bunch of snow. Great start to the year. Should provide a good base for resorts and back country activities.
Alright finally looked at a wiring diagram to solve this brake light wiring issue. And this is what I came up with.
Notice the cable from the battery goes to a 3 wire fusible link.
