So, I'm putting in my Bilsteins and need to know, for the front, where the metal spacer tube goes - top of shock, or bottom. My directions are not clear as to which mounting hardware goes on top or bottom. I have a type 13 and a type 6 - as the label reads:
F4-B46-1477-HO
Typ 13 / Typ 6...
Is the front driveshaft in-phase or out-of-phase on a 1992 ?
My FSM does not show it 90 degrees out of phase, but I know many other years are set-up that way.
Just want to be sure. Thanks.
I may need to use a driveline shop in Raleigh to balance my driveshaft. Can anyone point me to a reputable shop that I can take the driveshaft too. Will probably have the u-joints replaced by them too.
Thanks for any advice.

I have read the numerous threads regarding front end vibration and such.
Have performed a major service to cover much of this.
Asking for input as to order of items to look at so as to spend $$$ wisely.
I have no indoor shop and working in the rain sucks. Am considering taking the vehicle...
Anyone recommend websites that offer good prices for all the non-parts stuff we buy?
PS fluid
Moly Grease
Brake Cleaner
Brake Fluid
Oil
Hand Towels
etc,
Thanks for the advice,
Rob
So I recently moved to Raleigh with my 92 FJ80. I have ordered my FSM and the Birfield DVD because I need new front bearings and the birfs are popping when I turn.
Cruiserdan is sending me info on what I will need and I hope to do the work in early February.
If anyone in the Raleigh area...
