    Carb issue. Fuel bypassing or leaking

    1978 fj40!stock carb It seems like while decelerating and in gear. I get some torque to the wheels as if the intake is still getting gas the car stutters and feels like tourque moving the fj40 forward And I can start from second gear and not give it gas…, So I’m thinking carb issue but gas...

    Gas getting to engine - no pedal and in gear

    1978 fj40 Well….. stumped …. When the fj40 is in gear and driving under load I get a strange wobble or almost a stutter in the engine .., grabbing clutch or grabbing brakes But Once in neutral it goes away… Fluids are topped off, engine timed. New spark plugs, does it in 2wd and 4WD...

    transfer case oil drain hole buggered

    Ok. Stripped my oil outlet on my transfer case I got it sealed up with grey gasket stuff but this is temp Might anyone know if this can be tapped It looks like 24 mm. But maybe that is too big?? Or just seal the hole permanently and use a pump to suck it out. When needed Any ideas to...

    1978 transfer case in and out play on rear output shaft

    Rebuilding my solid transfer case 1978 4 speed upon reassembly of the high and low gear and the front cone I seem to still have 1/8” of in and out play on rear drive shaft. This doesn’t seem right.., will this play be removed with the installation of the rear housing and or perhaps a bearing...

    Can the most forward pinion bearing be replaced without removing the entire third member from the diff? Or pulling the entire pinion? yes I know the race may be bad too but just trying to get away easy for once

    So... I gots a Leaking Rear output Shaft / along with some strange scraping... Upon disassembly of the parking brake and speedo housing... there appears to be a THIN "O" SHIM there . None of the tech / service books appear to have this in there... its like 1-2 MM +/- thick Can anyone tell...
