They are not interested when dealing with "foreign" enquiries or orders. Complacent and inward-looking is probably why. I contacted them about my 1UZ-FE 79 series Land Cruiser as well back in 2005- very unenthusiastic.
Look elsewhere
i have a 2000 Land Cruiser HZJ79 that has a 1HZ-R151F but now that combo resides in a BJ60. The HZJ79 has a supercharged 1UZ-FE instead with the A341E auto.
i currently drive a 1997 HZJ81 as a dd which comes with a 1HZ-H55F.
Took the tranny down to check bout 2 months ago and surprised to find that it has an aluminum casing and plate under the hood reads H55F.
I'll take a picture of it once i get it up on the hoist sometime soon.
i thought 99' was beginning of coils upfront & 5 bolts. How many versions of H55F were they? In North Borneo, HZJ81 with H55F (aluminum casing) as well as H150F. TMC seemed to have mixed them up & i always thought all H55F had cast iron casings.
probably a good idea to get 2 BF1A (split tc) and figure out what needs to be done first before deciding whether to contract it to a machinist or d.i.y.
I'm curious as to whether its possible to build a dual transfer case for my HZJ60 using parts found at junkyards.
I live in North Borneo where Land Cruisers and Toyotas are everywhere, tried contacting Marlin several times in the past but they are too busy...so thinking why beg when it...
hi
I own a 1995 HDJ81 (1HD-FT) and the something from the valve train fell into the engine and had to rebuild whole engine.
according to my local garage, valve clips need to be inspected for wear and tear and replaced immediately when necessary. I just had mine replaced (48 pieces) today...
thanks Rosco :D
would be better once i've replaced the manual tranny with a H55F as it currently has the R151F ('neither here nor there ratios'), 1HZ & R151F was out of a 2001 HZJ79 with 4.3:1 final ratio. plenty of torque ;)
good info on the japanese lifts. What about 4" lifts from...
i might just do the same for mine, remove the grill & install some sort of fan system to feed the intercooler and radiator.
Nissan patrols are equally tough trucks:beer: Are they available in Panama?
Can you share pictures of your suspension setup on your HJ-T60? Local wreckers tell me...
yeah its summer all-year round here as well except its 100% humidity, rust can be a problem for Land Cruisers here although not as severe as winter belt areas in the northern hemisphere nations.
may be your fan blades need to be upgraded to more powerful units, probably mount 2 blades...
here's overview of the intercooler setup..not very tidy yet but slowly working on it.
there's a/c but is less efficient because of intercooler mounted in the front. will fix that by mounting condenser unit on the undercarriage in near future.
Another problem with front-mounted...
how does your 40 ride SOAed? I hear some local off-roaders complaining about handling on tarmac especially at higher speeds.
I'm sure about SOA simply because I need more ground clearance and running 35" simex off-road tires (locally made off-road tires, similar to the one on my 60 now but...
thanks for that information on 4x4 labs.
Been wanting to SOA my truck but kept it on hold because of steering issues. I checked with All-Pro and they only do LHD cruisers.
Think the parabolics are quite ideal as springs for the SOA setup since they don't have much lift but the ride...
yea..i'm sure they have all the kits, its just a matter of which route i'm takin now, stock parts all the way or get them custom made :)
thanks again jb. :)
