I’ve owned a third gen for 2 years, and about 55,000 km. No issues whatsoever, gets slightly better fuel economy than my Tacoma did, tows great (I’ve towed close to 10,000 lbs many times) and pulls like a freight train. I actually think it is a little overpowered, and the turbos could be dialled...
Ignoring the victimization of others is pretty common narcissistic trait, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it. After all, even pedophiles manage to get character witnesses to come to court and speak on their behalf a sentencing.
I should be clear: I had ordered from Megazip many times, had good service, good parts and prices, and no problems. But the last time was when my CC info was stolen, and that was enough for me.
I bought from Megazip, and the parts were as expected. But within a few days I had false and fraudulent charges overseas on my CC. I suspected my CC info was stolen during the Megazip transaction - I did not deal with any other online company at the time - but of course it is impossible to...
I have used both Bell Metric and Overland for my BJ60 and BJ42. Both are excellent to deal with and have high quality fasteners. My Overland stash in particular is my go-to when I need something. For Bell Metric, I buy volume. It lowers the per unit cost and does not change the shipping costs to...
I did mine (2000 Tundra, SR5 access cab) in about 20 or 30 mins and I just pulled the instrument cluster, not the whole dash. I can’t imagine a Sequoia would be that different, but I’m not up on all the differences between a Tundra and Sequoia.
The indicator light for the “D” is a single bulb. If you look on the Tundra forums you will see that this is a common occurrence and is easy to replace.
As far as the noise/rpm issue is concerned, I’ll let others who are more knowledgeable address that one.
I’ve had this problem. The hardware kits at NAPA, etc contain pins that are too short. My advice: Do not cut the spring to accommodate the short pin, as some suggest on UTube, etc.
Specter sells a kit that works: 081-17C-kit, I believe. It is not cheap ($10 USD per side) but the parts are very...
I’ve only ever owned LCs with a 3B. 1981 BJ42, 1982 BJ42, 1983 BJ 60, 1985 BJ70, and a 1985 BJ60. I’ve driven across Canada in my 1983 BJ60, and put many miles on the others. In my view, the 3B is one of the best engines ever made. The driving experience with a manual transmission is one of my...
Family member wants to mount TRD Tacoma wheels on his 2022 Tundra for winter wheels. The trouble is, the Tacoma uses M12 x 1.5 flanged lugs, while the Tundra uses M14 x 1.5 flanged lugs. The 17s will just clear the calipers, so that is not an issue, and the bolt pattern is he same.
Any ideas...
Long shot I know, but looking for the rear wiring harness for a 1981 BJ42 (firewall plug back). I can work with ugly and broken stuff, just hoping to get an OEM harness for my resto. Please PM with condition and price. Thanks.
I’ll add my support for KBS. I have used it on two frames. Both had been sandblasted and I followed the KBS instructions closely.
Overall, I am still very pleased with the outcome several years later.
