Agreed, no grease in my case either. Glad my post helped you out. Mud has literally made it possible for me to keep this old Cruiser of mine on the road. I don't know what I would do without the hive mind here. Happy Trails.
Is the HE LC the only LC of its generation available with no third row? I don't follow the HE thing closely, I'm not that into bronze wheels. The Slee Off-Road HE, though? That's a different story. That thing is cool.
Hi all, can anyone help me out with the size of the single screw which is on the inboard side of the sun visor? I mean the one that his the plastic clip to the headliner, close to the rear view mirror.
Thanks in advance.
Alright, I read that. I hear you. What I'd really love to do is be able to drive a bunch of different tires back to back, same vehicle in the same conditions. If only. I do agree with you that even us Overlanders drive a lot of highway miles to get to the trail, and certainly there is a...
Overlander tire? Really? This tire is not even an AT. What exactly does Overlander mean, then? I'm struggling to see how this tire is not simply the best highway tire. It's certainly not the best for muddy fire roads and mild trails, or anything harder than that. I'm not trying to be...
I have a friend who works at a Lexus dealership as a Lexus master mechanic. He's done so for 15 years now. I told him I was going to buy an LX and he said, 'That's a great vehicle. Don't buy anything from Lexus made during the pandemic, though.' I'm taking that to heart, but that's just me.
That tint looks very nice. Do you know if that's ceramic tint? I've heard that clear ceramic tint will accomplish what you are talking about with reduction of radiant heat and UV rays, but I haven't tried it on a car of mine yet. If you could estimate how much of a reduction of radiant heat...
Hit and run with your kids in the car??? Wow, that would Really Piss Me Off, as I'm sure it did you. I'm glad you and your family are uninjured. That's a terrible thing to do to someone.
Vehicles are not good investments. At least Toyota mass produced vehicles. Use it, sell it, enjoy it. You decide, but sitting on it in hopes of making money on it ignores the opportunity cost of liquidating it and putting that money in another investment option. Cars are just tools...
The LC roof rack also bolts right up, so you have a longer rack and can position things further forward. I found a local guy with an LC who was putting a Prinsu rack on his and gave me his LC roof rack for free.
Hey Mudders,
If anyone can post up or DM me some pics of the mounting locations of their LS430 visors, that would be much appreciated. I'm using the Solve Function mounting parts and I'm getting some scrape on the headliner upon moving them toward the window, and it seems like they only work if...
I second the notion that the built rig looks overbuilt. I think a lot of people put a bunch of money into mods, which add weight and complexity, and often decrease reliability, only to regret it. That rig looks like just that - to my eye. I think over the last few years a bunch of people saw...
I hear that. I believe the memo from CA Fire means that the Element product is either ineffective or has not been proven effective. I'm surprised that it ever got to market if that's true, and I'm glad I never bought one.
Wow, I'm really glad I held firm to my skepticism when I first heard about those things. Shame on Element. I'm sure many people who bought them will not be aware of the CA Fire memo saying they are not legal for sale in CA.
I saw that Hoovie's video, I wish he had chimed in with data re the LX and LC. I don't think these fall into the luxury segment he was highlighting, and he had some really good, broad data. I just wish he had shared it on the LX/LC.
I think that is one of the most desirable color combos, so I'd be willing to pay a premium for that. It also depends on your intended use. Many (most?) people on Mud off-road their 80 Series. If that's your plan, I recommend not buying this truck. With this rig, you would be paying a premium...
Side note: on the 80 Series forum many people are deflaring their rigs. I had no idea people were adding flares to their 200 Series.
I think we're all addicts - we're just looking for ways to spend time and money on our rigs. Me included.
