Not sure how much better this one is but you can see that this one has the debris can. They came in two options - with and without. Also there is a lower support bracket that is usually missing.

If we're talking about being a true heat shield, then the better insulating the better. Copper is the most conductive of the normal metals, followed by aluminum, then steel. Keeping it reflective would be best.

Ask and ye shall receive. Here's a new parking brake drum 46501-60030. Don't even believe it's old stock.
Didn't really need it but decided to err on the side of caution.
So for my setup, NOS bearing retainer, new Sea Master shaft from @cruiseroutfit, and new brake drum. Only now thinking...
Take a look at this. It's what we've used in the past to polish plastic for emergency lights on vehicles. If you're going to repaint the letters anyway you might find that this will work.

My 82 troopy came with the full split case driveline parking brake. Issue was that the output shaft retainer bearing race was spinning in the retainer. I have the original one being worked on at an old school machine shop to bring it back to spec but since a NOS one was available I figured it...
I know a batch of these were found several years ago, but this was a great find for me in 2019. NOS split case rear output shaft retainer with the extension for the driveline parking brake.
Thing has been sitting on a shelf for nearly 30 years just waiting for someone to buy it. Best part, it...
Most important thing is to verify it has a valid istamarah. As long as it hasn't been deregistered then you should be ok. If the owner deregistered it then you're out of luck. Make the purchase contingent on getting it in your name.

Got the window cranks from ToJo 4wd in Australia a while ago. Unfortunately looks like Peter has been getting poor reviews for service now so I can’t recommend them.
That’s a nice score with the doors!

The original handle part number sub'd to 69285-90801-B0, so yes likely a 70-series handle. I am using the same for the amby door, which sub'd to the same number as well. I picked up the cranks out of Australia, but I do like the color match.
You're at the front of the list if more brackets...
Finished up the doors and mirrors today.
New door card clip inserts, new door mechanism silencer and 3M VHB tape for the plastic vapor/moisture barrier.
Door card, handle, latch cover, crank and escutcheon installed. I know the crank was originally black, but I went with grey.
Early model...
