Back in September our 1997 manual SR5 got Tboned by a 16 year old making a Uturn on a main 5 lane arterial. Whoops.
While we waited for the state to determine what to do with the title status a 97 Limited with a bad motor came on the market.
So... now we have a 1997 Limited SR5....
Limited...
Guess you haven't spent much time in the other series pages.... I've seen the cupholder complaints in all of them (except the 40.... but I imagine if I searched there would be threads about what to use as they don't exist in a 40 either)
The aw11 (first generation MR2... 85-89) has all of these beat.
They have no cupholders. Not even fancy glove box lid indentations.
The early 3rd gen 4runner is much worse than an 80/100.... there's a pull out (that's weak and breaks) that loosely holds cups right over your climate controls...
No.
An 01 T4R is a 3rd gen.
We have a 97 and I've torn apart another 97 - sold the seats to an 01.... interior size is the same
, only main difference is the center console and center dash area.
With that said, we love our 3rd gen but it's smaller than all Landcruisers we've had between front...
While I have yet to get our 2011 remote nor does it have hdmi....
In my dealings with Samsung and hdmi out adapters- they generally need the power cable plugged in as well to work.
In my search (I only looked at LXs) I looked at 2008-2013s. I looked at 4 or 5.
Expect some minor issues. Test everything you can. Everything.
My experience is based on LXs....
2011 - was from Canada, 120k miles (well, roughly, was in KMs). Had everything in KM and C... that I saw the...
Sure, heat up a 2" thick piece of metal by laying a weld bead on it and grab it 5 min later. Do the same to a 1/4" thick piece of metal with the same surface area. One will dissipate the heat because the other (thicker) will have a harder time to shed that heat.
My point is that you stating a...
Guess you've never driven the car hard enough where stock brakes at a track catch fire.... yup, been there. They're for increased ventilation during continual hard braking (example- driving into a preferred braking area and then using the brakes at their full capability... over and over) to...
We had Weathertech liners in our 2001 LX. They were around $400 or so for all 3 sets.
They were pretty awful. The front fit ok and did their job.
The middle row was a joke. They never fit right, slid back and forth, curled at almost all of the edges - making it smaller and easier to slide -...
While your 2nd part is right, the first part isn't.
A thicker rotor will actually retain heat and increase the chances of the latter in continuous braking. There are slotted and cross drilled rotors that can assist with dissipating heat, but it comes at a cost. Generally aftermarket cross...
Well it's not the controller.
This is starting to get irritating.
E102-11 doesn't have continuity to E103-ETM
The spiral cable is perfectly fine (it tests good for continuity).
The diagrams really are less than helpful. The wiring supposedly runs from the combo switch (all tests fine) to...
I think the purpose of choosing 1990 was to exacerbate their point, somewhat incorrectly.
The FJ62 is an odd duck (and yeah, I had a 1988) and so kind of are the 1991-1992 FJ80s. The motor was changed in 1988 to the 3FE (first year of EFI) and the option for a manual was gone. However the...
I have no idea where he thought a 1990 would inflate to $41,000 today.
My 1993 triple locked had the original sales price from 1993 at, I believe, $43,000, which inflates to $76,000 (I also know they happened to trade in a rare AE95 Corolla Allteac Wagon.... random, I know).
I recently purchased a 2011 that only has 1 key. Everything on it works.
I ordered a key from Amazon that claims to fit this - which it did not.
My key is a HYQ14AEM and the replacement sent was a HYQ14AAB.
Ok, the seller didn't have a listing forthe correct key so I sent it on it's way...
I only skimmed the first page but this isn't just based on simple supply and demand. That is what it boils down to, but there's reasoning to it.
Those who can afford a new LX and want the luxury brand are less likely to buy one that is a few years old with some mileage- whereas those who want...
Another option would be to find an available 12v wire... then put a trickle charger on it just long enough to use the electric key to open the door. Maybe if the skidplate was pulled you could reach a 12v source...
Took apart the steering wheel, left foot kick panel, and the knee panel to inspect wiring.
While I may have found the problem per the FSM... I'm not convinced it's accurate.
I've had a lot of Toyotas and have found, at times, the FSM is written by people and as such, aren't always accurate...
