Reviving an old thread.
I am getting ready to swap a 15BFT 4.1L Toyota diesel into my BJ42. I am likely going to swap out the tiny stock turbo for something that flows better. An HX30 is one that comes to mind. Anyone have experience with the 15BFT?
We are doing pretty good! Last week when driving back from Austin to SLC I punched in OLC4x4 to see if it was anywhere near my route…unfortunately it would have added another 7 hours of driving. Maybe down that way next month.
Great times, glad I was able to make a trip out of the motor pickup and get to hang out with you all. Can’t wait to get cracking on the 15BFT swap into my ‘82 BJ42.
Yeah I had some really good experiences with them over the past 2 years. Joel made me a custom offset fat hub like I already had, but designed to work with his accessory bracket. I wanted my Cummins mechanical fan to be centered in the 80 radiator.
Nothing new on this build, been busy building a new home…but I do need to get cracking on it as I want it all back together before the new home is finished. There will be a bunch of new cool conversion parts going on when this goes back together again though. The motor is getting a few...
