Converting a U.S. Spec 80 to Manual Transmission

Lately, I've been enamored about an ls3 or some flavor of 4th gen vortec 6.0 with an h152f. Someday.

    My LQ9 Review

Hmmm, I guess I'll go part time then. If you ever need my cruiser to help you on your ls swap, I'm not far from you. I'm in Cache Valley and have no problems leaving my cruiser up in Jackson. Thanks for the info.

    My LQ9 Review

I'm running a built 4l65e. I don't have the specs with me, but will post them up when I get home. I'm running the stock 80 case, debating on going part time to get rid of drive line vibrations, or having someone do a cut and turn like on your 80. Sorry about your rig in St Anthony man, your...

    My LQ9 Review

I feel ya man. Ever since the recession, it's been tight with everybody. I look at the outrageous prices on new trucks, and don't understand how people can afford it; even used trucks are commanding serious money. So I thought this would be a better route.

I have a ls1 oil pan off of a 2001 Camara to aid in clearance. As to whether you can run a smaller lift, I would defer to rockjock82, as he is more knowledgeable.

    My LQ9 Review

I took my cruiser to Rockjock82. I think its awesome that you are able to work on your own rig. I lack the mechanical intuition, know how, tools, space and time to do something of this magnitude. I hope your cruiser turns out the way you want it.

Feel free to contact any of the mud vendors for pricing information. It's a lot of work involved, and pricing reflects that.

    My LQ9 Review

After 8 months of driving my lq9 cruiser, I thought I would give my impressions. When I first bought the vehicle in Boise back in 2013, it developed a light rod knock on the way home, and continued to get worse over the time I had it. After reading threads about not passing emissions, doubt to...

    YotaTEQ E.C.L. is awesome!

That last part came out wrong. I meant to say Frank has done everything for someone like me to install this. I truly like the light.

    YotaTEQ E.C.L. is awesome!

I saw Frank's thread on this light and knew I had to have it. It shipped out fast and was easy to install. Lucky for me since I'm mechanically incompetent and Frank included everything to help cater to lowest common denominator of his clientele. Thanks Frank!
