    CSC Loan a Tool Program

Looks like it's been awhile since the crank pulley wrench has made the rounds. Any chance it's still around? Im digging into a radiator replacement and thought I'd do the crank seal and oil pump oring while it's opened up. Happy to pick it up anywhere in town.

80 Series Aftermarket Gauge Choices & Mounting Options

I like the way it ties everything together and makes for an easier install. I'm curious what sensors they use and what the reviews are on them, especially the wideband afr sensor. Seems like many of them can be unreliable.

80 Series Aftermarket Gauge Choices & Mounting Options

So I ended up riveting a 2" piece of aluminum to the top side of the gauge cluster and sticking it in the gap between the lower and upper console. It fits snug and with a couple short sheet metal screws underneath going into the upper console it is nice and secure. I stuck a piece of soft...

80 Series Aftermarket Gauge Choices & Mounting Options

Very nice! I hated to do it but I ended up drilling a 3/4" hole in the center console directly behind the middle gauge to route the wiring. My original plan was to run everything through the gap but it just made it easier to go straight through. I like the location while driving, it's not in...

80 Series Aftermarket Gauge Choices & Mounting Options

I'll make sure to get some pics posted as soon as I can. The Turbo/gauge install turned out great, couldn't be happier. I had to hit pause on the project for awhile, outta town working some serious OT. Looking forward to getting back to it soon!

    Bolt on turbo kit

Summit and Jegs both have a full selection of heat shielding for every application. There's a lot of cheap knockoff heat shielding out there so go with a reputable brand or you might get some expensive Chinese tin foil!

    Bolt on turbo kit

Being in AZ it will be 100% water except for the rare times I head into freezing temps then I'll add a max of 20% meth, probably less. I don't see venting being an issue. Your link to meth poisening refers to ingesting it, these systems are very commonly trunk mounted without issue and it could...

    Bolt on turbo kit

Methanol is very flammable, there is a small amount of it in windshield washer fluid as an antifreeze agent because it evaporates quicker than glycol and doesn't smear up your windsheild. Radiator fluid is a mix of water and glycol. Both antifreeze agents, meth is much more flammable. That's my...

    Bolt on turbo kit

Fits beautifully. I wanted to somehow incorporate the optional 5gal tank but it proved a much simpler task to put it all in the rear quarter panel with the stock 1.15 gal that it comes with. I didn't want a large tank in the back because you would hear it sloshing around back there, not to...

    Bolt on turbo kit

The critical point is that the tank is below the injection point so that it doesn't syphon and drain into the intake if seals were to go bad. They also mention that the pump should be at or below the tank level in case of an air bubble the pump will stay primed. Im sure there is a critical...

    Bolt on turbo kit

I would definitely have preferred to mount it all under the hood but I wasn't going to lose my 2nd battery to make it happen.

    Bolt on turbo kit

The pump is right next to the tank. Haven't mounted it yet. I consulted with AEM about the location and distance. Apparently it's very common to trunk mount the pump and tank on these systems.

    Bolt on turbo kit

You know you have a problem when you start injecting meth! Just welded in the downpipe to exhaust, turbo install complete! Starting in on the next phase, gauges, meth, wiring cleanup!

I get that, but same basic system. It's still an 80, I was curious where he was mounting everything

    1HD-FT water injection testing

Nice to see someone experimenting with this. I'm currently working on an AEM system to compliment a Wits End turbo on the 1FZ. I have a dual battery setup so I'm currently working on a rear mount solution. Where did you mount your pump and tank?
