Hello,
Before I buy the parts new does anyone have an engine hook assembly and the two bolts for it for and also looking for the black molding piece that clips in under the rear window drivers side. Part numbers of what I am looking for are below. Also looking for a charcoal canister bracket...
So things slowed way down. But recently got the AC charged and blows cold as ice.
This weekend I pulled all the carpet out and power washed/scrubbed them. Was also having some start up issues and believe it was the fuel pump going bad. Replaced that today and you can see in the pictures the PO...
Make or rent a smoke machine and hook it up to the hose connected to charcoal canister. When mine failed it actually just ended up being a loose hose clamp on one of the lines to the canister. Once I tightened it I passed.
I had this recently but not as bad started with 110hc. I checked that all vacuum lines were tight and not cracked and added some E85 gas and just squeaked by with a 95.
I had just rebuilt my engine with new everything. At the end of the day we probably both need new cats.
Key is worn down or they put a different cylinder in the door and didn't give you the key. When I got mine the two front doors were different cylinders and my key only worked in the ignition and was the only key I was given. They used the fob to lock the doors and when I removed that I had to...
I did the rebuild. No air tools or vice but I do have cordless impact I used to get it off. I used a towel and leather gloves to hold tight to get the gear off and back on. Worked fine.
No, because when you put it in low and the CDL engages 50% of power is locked to your rear axle and that's what is driving you.
On my old 92 I blew my flanges on the trail. Like you mentioned there was a loud bang before it happened, but I was in low and the CDL locked so I didn't notice...
About to say the same thing. How are we on page 7 and op still hasn't gone and locked the center diff and driven down the street. This isn't rocket science stuff. Just do it. Nothing bad is gonna happen.
Possible you just grinded the splines in your drive flange. I had that happen to me on the trail and a was accompanied by a large bang. Results in loosing drive power to that wheel.
Got the tires balanced and aligned today. That with the new shocks and she drives so smooth now and the engine runs super smooth. This will probably be the last update for a couple months till I save up for a lift and tires.
Only thing it really needs right now is a deep clean and cosmetic...
Rebuilt the knuckles and put on new(reman) calipers front and rear along with new shocks. Just gotta bled the system again, add some gear oil and go get it aligned and tire balance hopefully tomorrow.
I have a 40 and 80. Besides looks and coolness factor the 80 is better in every way lol.
If I get in my 80 right after driving the 40 it's like driving a rolls Royce. So much more comfortable, quiet and smoother. Remember depending on year you will have no power steering, no AC and so on.
If...
New tie rods and steering stabilizer today. Pretty straight forward and easy job. Tons of YouTube videos if you've never done it. Only one tie rod was stuck and required some torch to get moving.
Just waiting on the new calipers and shocks before I do the knuckle rebuilds. Hopefully Friday for...
Even if its the oil pump cover the HB has to come off to change that so might as well change the front seal too.
*EDIT* just saw this was mentioned above
