Here is a picture of the box, it's not the igniter. I also took a picture of the wire. It's the green one, I wedged it under the others to keep the connection.
So it looks like you can just Un-bolt those bolts, pull it off and place the new one on. You can't, it's all intertwined. You would have to remove piece by piece, and replace piece by piece.
The actual wire that needs replacing, connects to the positive terminal. It's beat up!! Do you know what that box is? I've looked in the manuals, and on line, but I haven't had any luck.
Yes it is a 62,
Thanks for the reply
The transfer case is built on to the transmission. You can remove it without taking the transmission off, but it makes it more difficult. As you pull the covers off, the inside come off piece by piece, and you can start the rebuild. It seems a lot more complicated than it actually is.
Hey fellow members,
I have a question, and the answer is probably very simple. I was driving my fj yesterday and a block away from the house she just shut down. I coasted her to the side and tried to start it, but it didn't. It sounded like it was out of gas. So I bought two gallons, put it...
Alright, so we will find out how great there customer service is tomorrow. The sales reps have been great, this decision is up to the "boss man" as they call him.
I'll keep everyone posted
Most places won't touch the tranny!!! You tell the the year and make, and us a quick no. Mine was slipping, I bought one from cruiser parts. They give a year warranty. Spent $700. Whorks better than my last
I totally agree. I bought mine for 4000, and have already put a little more than that into it. Every time I make a purchase for it im excited about it, and not upset. She goes on tomorrow for a engine, transmission, transfer swap tomorrow. Can't wait to get it back in two weeks!!
It's the start to a crazy and expensive addiction. Like everyone has said, work on bits and pieces. Inbetween, enjoy what you can. They are easy to work on, and with this site, you can do it all. Everyone is eager to help, and poke fun as well. But all in good taste.
Congrats on the good find...
