If you go with fivr year plates with it being a1975 and newer I believe you need to only retest every 5 years, but you pay upfront for taxes and registration for the 5 years. You do save some as the taxes and registration costs will rise during the 5 years, and you save on 4 etests. HTH. Eric

Hello PabloCruise, long time no see. On your topic, the company info states it draws .7A at 12 volts. If you use Ohms Law, volts X amps = watts and divide the stated 40 watts "average" draw, 40 watts divided by 12 volts equals 3.333333333333...…. amps, not .7 at 12 volts.

I had the same problem on my '93 80. Started as very internittant issue, with the dash lighting up like a Christmas Tree, all idiot lights would kick on, then go off and act normally. Occurred maybe once every 3 to 6 months to start with. It wasn't until later that it was happening more often...
