Holy thread revival! Its been a while since I've been on and I completely forgot about this thread. I'm glad to see Potato Launchers knowledge is still helping out mudmembers!

I'm glad my thread helped you out and hopefully it will continue to help you on your build. Sorry I haven't got any pics up yet. The last year I have been working in a different city from where my cruiser is, so I haven't had access to it as much as I did. That should change in...
Thanks
Thank u. It was my favorite color by far.
The latest is I've been driving it and haven't done any other work to it which has been nice. I fabbed the transfer case and tranny mounts. I used the Matt Beir mounts which are stout.
As far as the final shifter, I will one day swap...
Make sure you have some fresh air circulation in the glove box for the ECM. I had mine in there and in the summer it would get too hot and cause problems. Specifically, it kept my 700R4 tranny from shifting into overdrive. Once I relocated the ECM to underneath the glovebox, no more problems.

Cruiserclaude, I hope my PM's were helpful and made sense.
My painless harness was wasn't too bad to install. Once you read the directions and look it over and break it down by section (engine, cab, and rear) it goes pretty quick. When I bought mine they had a $100 rebate and that made it...
Trent,
Custom Embroidery & Screen in Irving are good people, I'd highly recommend them. It is owned and operated by an Irving firefighter I worked with.

Looking forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming meetings. I will be in Houston permanently starting next week for work but it will take a while for me to get settled in and get the cruiser down there.
Looking forward to meeting another cruiserhead.

Thanks for the info. We are kind of leaning towards the Spring / Conroe area on the east side of 45, found a few spots that have nice 1-2 acre lots which would allow me to have my space and a nice sized garage.
Going to be working for Boardwalk Pipeline Partners in the Oil and Gas Industry...
Thanks man, going to miss Granbury, but we'll be back to see family; when we do, I'll look you up. I'll let you know about the 40! :hillbilly:
Thanks, would be nice to get something going down there, and if they run me out of town because of it, you guys would have to take me back!

It is in the shop now and was exactly as you had said. They have to replace the hood, roof, trunk and fender and will PDR the rest of it. They said it will be about 3 weeks before we get it back. Thanks again for the advice.
Sounds like we are going to be neighbors. Once we get down there...
We will be living in The Woodlands until we decide where we want to build or buy.
It's too bad there is not more TLCA activity down there for such a big city.
Nick
I accepted a position in Houston and will be moving there in about a month. I didn't make it to too many Dallas meetings, was just a little to far of a drive from Granbury, but looking forward to checking out some of the Houston meetings. Doesn't seem like there is as much activity in the...
Thanks for all the good info.
66fj40x2 - Thanks for taking the time to lay it out there for me, I appreciate the info and the insight.
I will post up with the outcome of the adjuster, I guess the PDR doesn't sound like to bad of an option. I would think that I would probably have to get a...
So my wife's car, a silver 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, was parked at DFW airport when the big storms blew through a couple of days ago and it took a beating from the hail. Every body panel has hail damage. The car has 6000 miles on it and is, was, in perfect condition. I called the insurance, Farmers...
I would have liked to but I had to a previous commitment in downtown FTW for the MS Walk from 8:00-10:00.
Lets do something after work sometime, say on a Tues, Wed or Thurs at 6 on the west side of fort worth. I could definitely do that.
