    Wanted WTB: 2000-2001 LX 470

I have a 2001 LC in Huntsville with 161K on it. Very rust free. Thundercloud Metallic with gray interior. Timing belt at 120K. It’s been my daily driver for the last 7.5 years and 50K miles. Very stock except for 5 Tundra rims and 265/70/18 tires. I have all 5 original rims available. I bought a...

Wanted Naples: Wanted 16” wheels for 100 series

I have five stock alloys from my 2001 LC for sale, but I'm in northern Alabama. The condition is probably pretty consistent with what you would expect from 17 years and 150K of mall cruiser duty.

    Resealing the Evaporator Cover

I had the same drip. I don't understand why that drain line is horizontal. I spent months (years?) backing uphill into my parking spot so things would properly drain downhill rather than onto my rubber floor mats. But then I took the cover off to do the air filter upgrade and I also replaced the...

Child seat latch points in LX 03+

In the interest of providing useful data for future searchers, I just wanted to point out that my 2001 LC DOES have LATCH. It's driver side and center only, same as the later 100s. But our car seats stay in the 2011 Sienna so my functional expertise is limited to that platform. On a...

    Front Main/Crank Seal Oil Leak?

Thanks. I've taken a look at the various timing-belt DIY articles; the pictures and instructions provided by other mudders are gold. I ordered my parts from Beno and I'm going to go forward with the assumption that I'm not overlooking the potential for anything simple (or catastrophic).

    Front Main/Crank Seal Oil Leak?

Over the course of the last month I went from no leaks, then to a few drips, now to a three inch oil puddle after 10 minutes of idling. Oil appears to be leaking heavily behind the plastic timing belt cover behind the harmonic balancer. It's dripping out from along the bottom edge and down...

Redid my tint and found a very close match...

Limo tint on the back will definitely help...it is not a perfect fix. I installed charcoal 20% in the back and 35% in the front. On cloudy days and in a few other unique lighting circumstances, the match looks extremely good. In direct sunlight...not so much, but I think many would say the same...

    2000 Trans Status 2011 Update

I have a slight twist to the line of questioning here - is it possible to visually determine if my transmission is original? For example, should the VIN appear on the tranny somewhere? I have a very early MY 2001; build date of 08/00 (VIN of 1350ish). I bought it in the beginning of 2012 with...
