I know it short notice, buit I've looked almost everywhere I can think of.......I'm in search for a FJ40 in the Salt Lake City area, trying to help out the wife with a photoshoot out on the Salt Flats. She needs a 40 as an awesome prop and awesome free photos of your rig! Her...
CX Racing looks pretty, cast will be more durable. I have CX headers on my rig, the flex joints let loose, the pipes are starting to rust....stainless steel my ass....and the factory welds are starting to leak.....I was happy with the product until recently, not sure if its built the same way...
I've got a SmittyBilt X20 Comp 12k on my short bus bumper....the control pack is mounted to the side, its snug but it fits. If you remote mount the control pack, there is plenty of room.
Going on 2.5 yrs now with the CX racing header......still not bad, both flex couplers blew out at the welds last week, I hacked them off and welded on new Vibrant flex couplers. Thankfully its half way decent stainless, little prep and burned on the new flex couplers with no fuss. Originally...
I went from BFG MT to Cooper Discoverer STT Pro a few weeks ago. So far I'm loving them, load range E, HUGE blocks with sipes, and i can't notice the weight difference. They are much quieter than the BFG MT, possibly due to BFG wear....its almost as loud as a worn AT. Took them to GWNF played...
I went back and forth for about a week....I've got friends with Maxx and they like them, but the STT Pro seem better in winter and handling and they look cooler!.......we'll see!
Factory comparison link below...
Trying some new rubber, BFG MT are awesome, but suck in the winter....trying out some Cooper Discoverer SST Pro, much quieter and huge blocks with sipes!
Had this same issue a few years ago, fixed it and it let loose again a few months down the road......my solution for the last 3 yrs http://www.switchdoctor.net/toyota-land-cruiser-window-switch/toyota-land-cruiser-master-power-window-switch-1996-1997/
I think it added 45-85hp!! :steer:
I don't think it added any power, but in all honesty, I think i did gain little low end torque. There is a climb on a local trail that the pig struggles to climb. It may have been the cracked factory manifold and Y-pipe letting out all the horsepower, but...
I hit the bolts with penetrating oil two days before the attempting to take off the manifold nuts. They came of without any effort, had them all off in about 15-20 mins. I was expecting to fight with broken and stripped nuts/bolts. Total install with welding took maybe 2-3hrs. No check...
I'll take some pics again, I've had no codes since the header install. Basically, you need to measure the resonator where it would mate with the second cat, cut the CX racing bend, weld a flange on, and thats it! I was thinking about doing the Magnaflow route also....
Had this issue last week, tightened the tension on the alternator belts and fan belts, seemed to fix it so far….its been single digits in Northern Virginia. I had a friend start the truck while i was looking and i can see the main pulley spin, then the belts catch up…cold makes the rubber belts...
