I have a 1985 4Runner I bought a few years ago. It was running fine but wanted to change out to a 1-ton axel. I removed the front end, bought all the parts, and now need to sell it as is. The only rust on this previously California unit is around the windshield. If interested I can send pics and...
Up for sale is my 2011 FJ. I bought this new one in 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Most service performed at the dealer but being a machinist I did a few of the mods myself. Clean, one owner - see Carfax report included.
This has the standard Trails Team additions. Location in SLC, UTAH. Asking...
I as well am a fan of M.T. Have spent plenty of money with them. Full suspension T.C mid travel with Icon shocks. Using M.T rear link both upper and lower. Red Eye rear bumper. Have a different front bumper but if I had the motivation I would switch to the M.T front tube bumper. All in all a...
If I was in your situation I would go with the Dana 60. I have the 8.2 in mine and the way I wheel it`s only a matter of time before I am replacing another R/P and or bending the rear diff. No way would I do the HP rock jock unless your into replacing the R/P, do a little research you will...
Race car parts race car noises. If you have or haven't purchased this set up yet, most retailers if you buy both front and rear set up will give some what of a discount, ie the whole set-up uca`s shocks and links for the rear.
I have T.C mid travel 2.5. Have used it for four years now. Was it...
I am interested in how well this is going to hold up and long term usage compared to the uni-balls. How many miles, or trips did you get out of your uni-balls before change out? I do like the fact the Delta joint has a zerk fitting.
Hopefully a report on short term and long term useage.
Yes it is the abs line for the rear. The tech at the Toyota dealer managed to over extended the rear diff and it ripped the electrical line. He found a longer abs electrical line, not sure what he used this was sometime ago and it is visible from what was one previously. I will ask him the next...
Just a suggestion call the tech line at both King and Fox tell them what you are planning on doing and see how they answer your questions. Go from there. I am also using the TC Mid travel on my 011 FJC. When I did the upgrade (2013) I purchased a complete kit both front and rear from MT. They...
Late to the party but BAMF is one also RCI which I have. BAMF has a long lead time or build to order, but from what I have seen they are bomb proof and well thought out. RCI had one on the shelf and needing one right away sealed the deal for me. Bolted up nicely and has work out very well the...
Living in Utah and getting a good amount of Snow this year I have found this. A good quality deicing washer fluid and have had good luck using Toyota Sight Line wiper blades. They are covered so snow and ice wont mess with the spring action of the blade and are the correct length for the FJ.
For me the interesting thing about deciding to do something for the first time is the excitement of doing the event but all so the dread. I am in the process of gather as much information as I can as to what I need to do to the FJ. I will post up later as to what I have done so far. Thanks guys.
Thanks guys been busy at work. I like work but it sure cut`s into the day. Color yes it`s army green. Tire size I did read the recommend tire size was 34 or 35. Trying to shoehorn some 315 into it
