I'm a little late to the party, but...
1. My Taco is famous!!!
2. There have been two red s***s- 2012 & 2016... Unless I've been colorblind all these years...
3. I have one of the red ones on in the ole "log holding the axle in" picture.
4. Get yo s$@t ready!
4. That is all.
I concur. I'm in Hot Springs and will do what I can to help, but no parts stores are going to have that in stock. Not sure what I could do, other than bring you some RTV.
Well, yes and no. You do have to drill a new hole a couple inches back for the cab mount bolt. To add strength though, there is a plate underneath the floor that runs from that bolt back to the factory hole, where you put a carriage bolt through the plate and the factory hole. Not sure if that...
And, the Taco got the cab mounts relocated. For those of you that don't know the issues with these on the 2nd gen tacomas, you can't really run anything bigger than a 285 (even with a 6" lift) without addressing these things. Toyota put them too far forward...
Factory, then my modified mounts...
I don't mean to make anyone jealous, but the cruiser got a brake light this weekend... Because I would hate for someone to rearend me on the trail and mar the paint on this beautiful vehicle...
The Cruiser got new NGK plugs/wires/cap/rotor. Also ripped out the nasty headliner, got the radio and interior light working, and cleaned up some other wiring. Started to do the brakes, until I realized you have to pull the hubs to do the front brakes. Think I'll wait until I replace the front...
Agreed. Not necessary unless you're planning to be winching multiple times in a short period of time. And even then, I've winched four or five times in a row with no issues. If you're still concerned, I'd go with a little bigger battery and call it good.
