These are my brown pet skunks. They are supposedly siblings from the same litter, they're about to turn 3 years old in May this year. On the left is Harper (F) and Winston (M) is on the right enjoying their dinner.
I'm planning to pick up an '08 Sequoia with the 5.7l. Anyone know a salesman or a contact at Toyota West, Tansky Toyota or Byers Delaware ?
Thanks a bunch.
Jim,
Thanks. I will have to look into that. I already know that importing a 25-year-old vehicle is much easier due to the lack of emission requirement. Is Henry Cubillan local ?
For those who still remember/know about my 1982 FJ-40 in Indonesia. My brother wants to bring this over to Columbus, OH. It will be painted flat black (no more meticulously-applied, ultra wet-look Sikkens pink pearl), have aftermarket front fender flares installed and the small issues would be...
I just found this in the garage. Bought this for my Dad's 55 a long time ago and it didn't fit. It's for either clutch master/slave cylinder or brake master cylinder. I have no idea how much I bought it for. $10 and you pick it up at my office in Worthington or home in Westerville. Email or...
Yes, that's a full floater :)
My Dad managed to locate a rear axle out of a 45 many years ago, can't remember what year 45 it was. The rig is actually a bit of a Frankenstein. Originally, it's an '82 with 3sp and semi floating rear. I grabbed the '69 4sp tranny and transfer case out of my...
It doesn't need to be 25 yrs old. But, if it's 25 yrs old, a whole bunch of paperwork can be skipped and being 25 is only a couple more years. In any rate, here are some pictures.
This first picture was taken circa mid '90s when the resto-mod process was finally done. It rode on 35" BFG...
From my limited experience, you can take apart a 40 with only your socket set (granted you have metric sockets; probably 2-3 really big sockets if wheel bearings are involved, and no, you don't need the 13mm :) ) and closed/open end metric wrenches + screw drivers. In case rust is prevalent...
Importing an Indonesian-spec 1982 FJ-40
Hi all,
I posted in another thread about this here. I read up on the NHTSA documentation but I'm not too clear and I have no idea if this is something that can be done by myself. I'll try to contact one of the contact persons stated in post #94...
I don't have much experience working on an FJ40 or at least it has been more than 7 years since I drove mine, but if you guys don't mind, I'd like to come and hang out. As long as you guys don't laugh at my ride ;p
That is one possibility. Is it possible to bring it here sometime this year but wait a couple of years before having it registered ? Do you happen to know the differences between having it road legal now or in two years in the future ?
Thanks for the help, sorry for the many questions.
