@KSDaddio (my father) and I have been importing restored cruisers, and project cruisers, from the Middle East for awhile now. Last year we were approached by someone local here in Phoenix asking us to do some work on their FJ40. We'd not ever considered doing this but it seemed like a fun...
I've got a used, working, power-steering gearbox from my FJ75 for sale. This is OEM Part 44110-60301. This gearbox works just fine but leaks/seeps and it's gotten a bit worse in the last year. It needs a rebuild. I just had one like it rebuilt by Redhead and it was no problem for them. Will...
My name is Joel Ericson. I've been on MUD for some time. Via some encouragement from fellow cruiserheads at the Solid Axle Summit, I recently sprang for a small business membership so that I can pitch my “wares” to you all here. I’m not much of a salesman… but I do have a lot to offer if you...

Back in the day with 7" LED headlights became a thing for Jeeps and motorcycles, JW Speaker and Trucklite were the big names. That's what you bought unless you wanted cheap Chinese crap off eBay or Alibaba.
There are a lot more options now and I'm curious how many folks are running LED...
"So I tripped and fell and bought another Land Cruiser..."
It sounded like a good story, but my wife didn't fall for it. Nevertheless, I married well, so this wasn't really a necessary tale.
Back in December 2021 I got pinged about a Troopy... a 1992 FZJ75. I've been toying with grabbing...
If I'm lucky this thread will be helpful to at least one person. I'm rebuilding my 3F carburetor and MUD has been a big help in doing that. I figured I'd chronicle a bit of info about this carb and the rebuild process. I'll probably sprinkle a few questions for the experts in here as well...
40-series owners, though other's are most welcome, Baton #1 from the "Travelogue" thread is here in Phoenix.
Any 40-series interest within CSC for a joint trek/trip to move it out west to CA? Non-40's are welcome of course but the original spirit of this effort was to shuttle this thing around...
Some questions in my build thread about more details on the HVAC controls spurred me to do a tech thread of sorts.
The whole HVAC is comprised of three primary parts. The intake and blower motor are on the far right (for a LHD vehicle) and includes the diverter for fresh/recirculated air...
I'm extending the transfer case breather on my Troopy soon. The axle breathers are already extended a bit on this truck, but was thinking of extending them further into a manifold block with the transfer case breather. This would be open to air with a filter.
ARB has a solution... open to the...
I was curious if anyone has access to a Hotsy or other high-temp pressure washer? I'm willing to rent or pay for the service. I'd like to wash off the underside of my truck from all the transfer-case oil residue... I'm about to pull it to rebuild the transfer case and would love a cleaner...
Anyone with recommendations on stainless fabrication in the Valley? In particular I'm looking to find someone who can fabricate a stainless water tank to sit up under my Troopy. Any pointers for someone to help out with this project?
@KSDaddio and I would be lying if we didn't confess to the patina on this truck being part of what drew us in. KSDaddio is my dad and playing with mideast Land Cruisers together has awakened the need for more projects. This truck came out of an Oklahoma farm field. So my dad borrowed a trailer...
I'm looking for some input/opinion on gaskets for a 3F.
When I was still in the UAE I bought a full engine overhaul gasket kit (04111-61080). This gave me EVERY gasket and seal to dress up the engine as needed as I work my way through the truck. The engine runs fine and, right now, doesn't leak...
So my crankshaft nut came off awhile back... inexplicably... fortunately it happened while shuffling the truck around in the driveway. The last time I'd driven it had been on the Classic Cruise with the Copper State Cruisers group... a full day off road trip. I'm kind of puzzled on how this...
