I just bought a '75 FJ40 that has been fitted with a full roll cage that fits under the factory hard top. I would like to get a soft top too. Am I good to go since my cages fits with a hardtop? Or should I measure to be sure I can fit a soft top?
I kept my stock horns but added a pair of the Hella Dual Air Horns. It all fit nicely mounted on a single piece of flat stock behind the grille on the pass side.

Just before my 80 comes to a complete stop, the ABS engages for a quick moment. Has this happened to anyone else here on mud? I suspect it may be a problem with the the abs sensors.
Dont stress it. Secure that winch on top of a floor jack and perhaps a block of wood. Get a friend to give you an extra set of hands and then lift that winch into place. Bolt it up. If the feet do not make tight contact with the bumper unbolt it and get some spacers (they are only like $20 so...
Intersting, I am about to switch from wire rope to synthetic rope on my winch. I planed on using the poly rollers from daystar for the fairlead. Post a pic of your fairlead once you have it mounted. I assume you are going to cut off the roller mounts?
I sandblasted my wheels, primed them with zinc chromate, and them originally painted them with Trembled Matt Black. I just recently resprayed them with Duplicator Bronze and clear coat.
