I always let the pre heat cycle play out, even go through the process twice on cold (-15C or so) mornings thinking it will help ( I do not really know, though). I do have some squealing belts, though...

well, I am hoping someone out there has some advice for me!
On cold starts, the alternator does not appear to be charging. The warning lights on the dash all come on, the amp meter is at zero; so headlight s etc are running on the batteries only.
after a few minutes the warning lights go out...
apparently the pats guy wanted to help me and the part was available in California or something, didn't mention it was for a RHD, but Toyota Canada cancelled the order. He said Toyota Canada does not want to deal with RHD, period.
so, I live in canada, have a 1995 HDJ81-RNMEW and had a collision with a deer. Long and short is that Toyota Canada will not help me, ( the parts guy said he could get the part but Toyota canada cancelled the order: they do not like RHD), so I am going for a buy out from the insurance company...

Hi there. I live in salmon Arm, late of Clearwater. Just sold my HJ60 to TOr in washington, am now waiting for my 1995 HDJ81 to get here from japan, courtesy of Brave Auto International. Hopefully a good base vehicle to add to! lets see if I can add the photos correctly...
