Up for sale today and a 78 Toyota FJ40 with a Chevy 350 small block. The 40 has been garage kept for most of its life and while in AZ it has always been in the garage year-round. It's very capable of most moderate to extreme trails but I've taken it a few times on some very mild trails.

Where should the fuel filter be located on a 78 FJ40? Right now mine just hangs down off of one of the cross bars. Should it be located some where else?
No push button just the lever. It could be that we didn't wait long enough for it to kick in. We would get the 4wheel drive icon on the dash until we rolled forward and after the loud clunck sound.
A buddy of mine has a 2002 Tacoma and when he goes to put it into 4h it doesn't really go into 4 wheel drive. What he has to do is to back up a bit then rolls forward a foot or so then there is a loud clunck then it's in 4wd. Is this normal?
Thanks

OK I'll give my effort into this. I'll see what I can come up with and have on it Google docs. Am I reading this correctly that yooper has the latest and greatest list?
It's been great. No problems keeping it nice a cool on the hot streets of Phoenix. It stays right at the first hash mark, but I still haven't installed the correct temp sensor yet so right now I've got the fan running as soon as I turn on the key. It's going to be 108 this weekend so I'll...
It looks like the same rad I bought from Classic Radiators on ebay. Paid more for it, but I haven't had any problems with it so far. But give me a few weeks when the temps get up and I'll let you know.
Ok on my rear panel I have some bubble rust that I want to get fixed. Can anyone recommend a good body shop in Phoenix,AZ, Or most likely in the east valley?
Thanks
Todd
I put a Classic Radiator in my cruiser and running now for about a month with no problems. It doesn't get that cold now here during the day but it runs really cool. I just need to install the temp sensor for Dakota Digital and the fan should kick in when needed.
Does anyone know roughly what the temps are at the hash marks on the temp gauge? I'm running a 350 in my 78 and need to calibrate my electric fan controller. Just need somewhat of an Idea of the the hash mark temps are.
Thanks
Todd
