Hard luck mate. Dunno bout your lx470, but in Oz, the 100 series live axle front diffs are out of a hilux ute, and are considerably weaker than the rear diff. It is a known weak point on the 100 series, and yours is a common story, especially those who try to snatch in reverse. I presume yours...

Good advice, you do have to take the wheels off to adjust the shoes. You will see a rubber grommet on the drums, pull that out and in goes the flat head screwdriver. I agree, be very careful not to adjust the shoes too tight like I did, I found even a little bit of drag will over heat them with...

Crikey! I think Airtec would be a little miffed that their snorkel is considered to be for dust driving only! Mine doesn't seem to leak, despite many deep crossings...even have the fan into radiator marks to prove it (yes, I know I should have fitted a blind)
