Holy Crap, gonna buy some of that while i'm out as well. Not gonna use it on the snorkel though, but I'm sure it will find a use in my shop soon. Not to knock the tape, but i'm a firm believer in Dad's saying "What ever you do, never tape any s*#t to your car. Not only does it look tacky, and...
Man, I think I heard that somewhere. He sure has missed out on a few smoking local deals recently. I have 2 friends that just bought 80's super cheap that were absolute STEALS for the money. But if I know Dan he's prob. looking for a super clean lo-mile southern rig, with locks and all the...
X2 on how to install, where do you get those Christo? A specialty race shop?
Those definitely sound better than the plastic squares.
Plus i bet I could find them locally.
I agree Hokie...........
Very Good! Thanks so much Frankie. I will give Mike a call and let you know what he says.
Matt
BTW, what is Danny D been building? I haven't seen him lately and haven't had a chance to ask. Another ASM? Just food for thought..... John Schiedhauer up here in memphis is selling a super sweet...
Frankie,
Do you have an extention for Mike at ARB? I used to talk to Tim Lund pretty regularly, but I seem to have lost his business card & contact info. I really would prefer to go back with the fasteners that ARB intended if they will send them to me. I still have a pair of Old Man Emu front...
Frankie,
Do you think you could get those grommets at Lowes or home depot?
I am with you though. If that tape broke loose it could tear the snorkel body from the truck and the damage would multiply exponentially. Just minimizing the risk........
Matt
where do you get that? Auto parts house? Do you think it would hold up to the force of wind doing 80+ mph down the interstate? If it did break loose it would cause some serious damage imho.
Gonna make this short. Anyone have pics of the 3 plastic grommets and screws that hold the bracket to the pillar? Or exactly what they are. I need to buy some to transfer a snorkel from one truck to another. The old ones are siliconed in and I have been trying to dig them out of the pillar for a...
Carter, if you need me to take a look at it, I will be glad to. The likely hood of it being bent is very slim, especially since it is a hi-pinion design. You still have my #, right?

Specter seat covers are some of the best made for land cruisers.
The tuff duck material is waaaaay strong, kinda like Carhartt Duck pants, except with a water proof backing. The price is kinda high, but you pay for what you get IMO. The only downside to them is that the sun tends...
Glad to hear you are enjoying the suspension Carter! Better than Sky jacker HUH?!
If you need help welding those mounts to your rack, let me know, you can practice with our millermatic.
I'm sorry I missed you in Harlan, but you weren't the only one I missed! We got way ASSED out on the...
Ditto on what Texus said. They used to make really good affordable exhaust components for BMW's. I have had their mufflers on a couple of my Bimmers and had no problems. I suspect the same quality craftsmanship would reign true to their toyota parts as well. Prob. for a fraction of OE parts.
Not my 80 anymore. It used to be mine back a long time ago(if its the truck i'm thinking about) The guy who bought it from me works at a bank at the corner of Poplar and Exeter.
I have a Tacoma and an FJ-60 now.
Saturday will be fine. As long as it is after 4:30-5. I have a meeting at that...
not any readily available, but I work in germantown. I can meet up with you whenever you want or vice versa. They are in my garage. Just let me know.

I have a set of 4 285/75 R16 BFG Mud Terrains that came off my truck last week. They don't have much useable tread left but would make great spares if anyone around here needs a fullsize spare. They were on a 1996 4runner before my truck. Anyone who wants them, just shoot me a PM.
Thanks...
