Marshall,

Thanks,

I received my carb today!!!
For the other members here, id like to share some info on what i dealt with as a newb. I have a 1978 FJ40 with a 2F motor desmogged. Previous owner put a weber with cable throttle instead of linkage. To accommodate this awesome new carb, i had to purchase a new...
What screws did you need to adjust. Im get ready to install in the next few days and would like some info on what you had to do to tune it. Im assuming the carb should be plug and play.
Crap. You also need the stud bolt kit and nuts. For the trolhole carb. Also you will need air cleaner box to accomodate the factory type carb. Specter Offroad heped me a lot when i was there last week collecting parts for the trolhole carb. Just waiting for my new carb delivery.
Also if im not mistaken, there are 2 spacers on there for the weber. Carefully remove the gasket layer and there should be a allen screw holding down each spacer. I just removed mine sat :)
The spacer you have on there was designed for the weber carb. What you need is the carb insulator that has a built in spacer with gasket seals. You can contact SOR for a new one that is revised. $118.00
