As tempting as that truck may be, IMHO the L-series is the least desirable and most problematic diesel engine family that Toyota ever made.
If you do a little reading, I think you'll find (as stated in the above posts) that these engines crack heads like it's their job.
This truck looks fantastic, great work with the diesel swap! I love that in the first few pictures the leaf springs are laid out on a beautiful quilt and the tub is inside on the hardwood floor. If there is a women in your life that let you do that, marry her (if you haven't already).
Cheers...
That looks great millas, I really like the little side window. That's what I need to do, I'm 6'2" and I cannot get far enough away from the steering wheel in my 45.
What do you know about that bed that's on there? I think I have the same one on my truck (which is from SA).
Were those...
I'm not sure, but I think the angle of the filler neck is different. I could be thinking of the difference between an HJ45 and an FJ45 tank...sorry, that's not much help.
That Rustoleum looks really good! I was just thinking about the same issue recently, I don't even want to think about trying to remove bed liner. I think I'll go with something similar to what you did.
I have 29,000 miles on my set. I'm doing a four tire rotation and I still have 40% left with really square edges and nice, even wear.
I love BFG AT's, the only drawback is that the compound needs to be really hard to wear this slowly and that makes them super hard at -40F, it's like driving on...
Really nice looking rig man, I love seeing some fellow Alaskan 40's!
While you're in the painting mood, you might like the way it looks with the bezel in Cygnus White, but it looks sharp either way.
