I swapped out my plugs, cap and rotor because I had them. Since I had the plugs out, I checked compression while it was cold ~130psi across the board. Not too bad for 236k. It runs pretty good with the new plugs. This motor and all of its smoggy bits will soon be up for sale.
I had redone my...

I bought these mount adapters for my FJ60 LS swap but found they are best suited for using an auto trans as opposed to keeping the H55f. New, never installed. 60-Series Toyota LandCruiser LS Engine Frame Adapter — Well Sorted Automotive -...
Clear as mud indeed. I'm using a blue green pcm with the service number 12576106. I'd like to have the PCM do the idle up and whatnot. From what I've read on LT1 this one should work to do the fan and AC analog input.
Right??
I started tearing down the engine harness to make it standalone. I've got all but one connector figured out. It's a 2 wire connector up near the MAF connector with a 2 pin connector. One pin is black and ground. One pin looks to be light blue (although all pinouts show it to be dark blue) and...
Yep, if it's the gasket that kind of outlined the profile of the pump, it's the incorrect gasket. The one you want only covers the holes and about half of the pump.
It's available from Toyota for like $3
Coolant pressure testers are inexpensive and invaluable for diagnosis of leaks. Also, which gasket did you use for the water pump?
When I did mine, I replaced it with the gasket that the Aisin the pump came with, which was incorrect and leaked. I had to get the OEM Toyota gasket which only...
Like @OGBeno said. Once you're fit for it, you don't even notice. You can also go pretty light depending on your trip.
This was my setup for a 130 mi 14k overnight trip. I'm short AF so I don't have a lot of room for bike storage. I attached my bivvy to the bars and had my sleeping bag and coat...
I'm not a 3f guy, but I don't think it would solve a SES light as much as it's just another ground between the two. My 80 series has a ground in that same spot though.
I also tore down an axle this weekend. I bought a complete front end to go back to spring under and hadn't swapped out the diff yet. As it's becoming winter and snow days are looming, I figure it would be best to have matching gears front and rear so I can use 4wd. If anyone wants a SOA front...
Just checking. I have seen folks on this forum go head over heels before checking simple stuff. Like Dave said, I'd look at that rheostat and start checking continuity and power/ ground there. I think it's pretty unlikely that EVERY bulb is burnt out, but who knows.
I've never seen a legible 60...
You've twisted the dimmer switch/ knob in both directions? If you twist it all the way counter clock wise makes them go out. Try turning the knob clockwise a bit and see if you get lights back. Also, did you do something prior to not having dash lights?
just saw this. you want the gasket on the right (1627160011) in this thread 2F water pump gasket - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2f-water-pump-gasket.1102041/ the Aisin water pump I got came with the internal gasket, which I just slapped on without really looking at and had a leak so I had...
