    Headliner

Yes but they recommend taking top off and flipping to install. I was thinking carpet or the like.

    Headliner

Hi! My headliner has collapsed. It looks to me as if the foam deteriorated and let go from the adhesive. Gonna be hard to find someone to replace. Any creative solutions for a headliner that can be put on without taking top off?

    Engine won't switch off

Imagine my surprise when I turned the ignition switch off and my 84 FJ40 just kept running. Could this just be a problem with the key switch? What else would cause this?

    Headlights

Thanks for the info. I was hoping for something more concrete though. I don’t know much about wiring in a car. Since it’s just the headlights, wouldn’t that narrow it down some? High beams don’t work either. New switches aren’t available, are they?

    Headlights

1979 FJ40. My headlights are not working but other lights are. I could have hit something while working under the dash and speedometer. Or in the engine compartment carburetor area as well as radiator wiring or hose area. It’s been keeping me busy. Now this!! Seems specific to just the headlights.

Driver Side Door hinge is loose

I'll take another look. I think the bolts are all tight but the plate they are bolted to is loose and lets the hinge move about 1/4 inch which lets the door sag.

    FJ40 inner door hinge removal?

No, i am talking about the part of the hinge that goes into the body of the vehicle and bolts under the dashboard. I guess it could be the hole it fits into has wallered out and is letting it move. The rubber piece around the hinge moves.

    FJ40 inner door hinge removal?

On this same topic, my drivers door does not shut correctly as the top hinge wiggles. It sure seems like the bolts are tight, so I guess whatever it is fastened to is letting it move. what is the hinge bolted to on the body?
